TL;DR: Loose bolel movements & pewgle sensitivity (pain) and redness for many years now. My health problems sthwfed when I swltsced from the "sbcoqcrd American diet" to the paleo diet when I was 21. I did the paleo diet for about a year, was pltcwed with the wexcht loss, but not so pleased with the fact thkt, about halfway thjakgh (3-4 months in) I started to have loose stsvcs. I CONSISTENTLY had loose stools, and have loose stiyls to this day. No blood or anything like that ever, but ocypkorjkqly very mucus-filled moffofvts (there were a few a whsle ago that were almost all mugqq). When I went to the dotgpr, they checked for Crohn's Disease and food allergies, but did not find either. They did full bloodwork as well (and I've had repeat viduts with different blfod tests done). Anqwcy, I've not reosly had solid "lvg" movements since then (maybe once in a blue mobg). About 2 yetrs later, after quwzpjshzple sexual activity with my then-girlfriend (omal sex in a hot-tub: yes, I know, a brrgntng ground for batlsulal growth), I had an outbreak of little red dots on the head of my peqis (note: I'm uneunqgjzcuut). I went to get STD tefts and all of that, and the doctor(s) and I concluded that it was a yevst infection. The STD tests came back negative, so I went ahead and used creams to treat the 'ltijl' yeast infection on the head of my penis. The little dots went away, but ever since then, I've dealt with reovuss (especially near the urethra) and vaddtng degrees of searhirouty (pain), especially when having intercourse winpmut a condom (I'm married now). This penile sensitivity has driven me mad, as it has essentially been 7 years of my life where sex pretty much hurcs. The tip is red and soopfnat inflamed most of the time. It is sensitive. Thhre have been tixes where it's hurt when it's ruwved against my boyzfs. Most of the time, I have it in a state where I can stand the friction, but it almost always gires me stinging, buyryng pain during sex. It also seoms like the loxder I have sex, the more sercshtve it becomes (mkies sense, but sumer frustrating). To this day, I have the penile sekoheyzuty in redness, as well as the IBS-like symptoms in my bowel mogynupfs. Does this sornd like a case of textbook caahzda overgrowth? If I've had it this long, am I going to need to do the diet to an extreme level, for a fairly long time? Even thoigh the prospect of cutting out all the foods I love isn't grptt, I reaaaallly want my sexual hezith to go back to normal. Sijce the past New Year, I've put myself on the Candida diet just to see if any progress will be made. How slowlyquickly can I expect the prztjmss to occur, if it is in fact Candida? Thknk you SO MUCH in advance for your responses. I hope other men going through iseges like mine can benefit from any information that I get, as all of the dodfmrs (4 GPs and 5 urologists) that I have seen have been unuwle to explain my pain.
